ABOUT

IQMFItalian Quality Music Festivals

About

From the north to the south and its islands, Italy is a perfect place to enjoy international music in amazing landscapes and unique scenarios: forget the experience of anonymous spaces full of special effects and join the beauty of live areas within historical city centers, the colourful countryside, woods, lakes and sunny beaches plus the upside of general culture, food and wine experiences.

The +++ Italian Quality Music Festivals association represents 14 different events, from jazz to electronic, from indie to pop, from black to EDM music, linked together to share good practices and trying to promote an Italian way of festivals making. The association includes only established and at least 3 consecutives days long festivals which produce original acts, so defining an idea of what a real festival is.

The association includes a large kind of different formats: Italy’s biggest open air events like Home in Treviso and Nameless in Barzio, “castles” festivals like Ypsigrock in Castelbuono (Sicily) and Musical Zoo in Brescia, metropolitan urban-electronic festivals like Spring Attitude in Rome and the Design Week Festival in Milan, black and jazz crossover music festivals like Jazz:re:found in Turin,  Italian-artists-only festival like MiAmi in Milan, touristic festivals like Locus in Locorotondo, Dancity in Foligno, Novara Jazz and Siren in Vasto, indie festivals like Apolide in the nature area of Vialfrè and A Night Like This in Chiaverano (Turin).
Actually the festival industry in Italy is growing by 20% each year transforming this country’s music market in something wider and adding music entertainment to traditional touristic attractions.
The IQMF just released www.italianmusicfestival.com – a web site planned to be the international gateway to some of the best Italian festivals.
